1898 Pictorials
NZ stamps of 1898. These were the first Pictorials issued. Noteable, the first two color stamp, the 1d Taupo. Also the 2.5d Wakitipu No 04, with it's wrongly spelt name. The color shown here is wrong, and should be more like 05, Wakatipu, issued 5th May to replace the original stamp, with the name spelling corrected. The name 'log' is also different.
